The Cyto-Tek® 2500 Cytocentrifuge provides optimal cell recovery and advanced preservation of cellular structures in non-gynecological monolayer slide preparations. This cytocentrifuge was designed with enhanced features focusing on user safety such as balanced rotation, new sealable rotor housing with lockable lid to significantly reduce aerosol exposure. The housing is completely removable and transportable, so cytotechnicians now can load and unload specimens under a fume hood.

Paced acceleration
Paced acceleration ensures specimen integrity by slowly ramping up to the programmed rotation-per-minute (RPM) before depositing cells on to a slide. Cells are slightly flattened to provide better visualization of nuclear details. Paced acceleration is “Always On” to treat all cells in the same delicate manner and eliminates the need for the operator to choose how the specimens shall be handled considering their cell fragility.
